Having a swim instead

Leaving Cartagena was a little bit of a low point of this trip. It was greyer than usual. We probably all felt that we were approaching the end of this trip. The lack of wind forcast for the next leg was going to be an issue. We didn't dare to bunker water given fear of its quality, nevertheless, we got diesel. We left Cartagena through the Boca Chica Straight.

We had wanted to visit Islas Rosarios, but it was not going to be. It was tricky to approach between the coral reefs. We were too late in the afternoon and the greyness of the sky didn't provide the light conditions to be able to spot reefs. After some attempts, I felt uncomfortabe and we retraced our foot steps back to sea. We decided for a swim instead.
